Liverpool have been knocked out of the FA Cup after losing 2-1 to Wolves in the third round of the FA Cup.
Klopp made nine changes to his first XI from the side that lost to Manchester City last week with only James Milner and Dejan Lovren featuring.
Lovren though did not survive as he came off with an injury just five minutes into the game which forced Jurgen Klopp to bring on yet another youngster.
Wolves struck the first blow courtesy of Raul Jimenez in the 38th minute but the Reds managed to draw level six minutes into the second half thanks to Divock Origi.
Liverpool’s joy though was really short lived since it took only four minutes for Wolves to get back their lead – this time through Ruben Neves.
The match ended 2-1 and during the post-match press conference, Jurgen Klopp amongst other things surprisingly chose to blame the wind for his team’s failure to string together attacking moves.
Jurgen Klopp said: “We wanted to control the game because we were completely new, especially defensively. So it makes sense that you keep the ball.
“The wind didn’t help with that, to be honest, obviously, everybody on the pitch struggled a bit with controlling the ball and the first touch was, very often, not that good.”
And this statement from the Liverpool boss has really made him the subject of mockery from the rival fans.

Surprisingly though, this is not the first time that Jurgen Klopp has blamed the wind Gods for his team’s failures.
Back in 2017, Jurgen Klopp made a similar point when his side crashed out of the EFL Cup after a 1-0 defeat to Southampton.
And back then, it was a certain Jose Mourinho who chose to take a sly dig at the Liverpool boss for his unnecessary excuses.
