Arsenal are planning to offer a lucrative deal to 21-year-old winger Justin Kluivert should he choose to move to the Premier League from AS Roma in the summer.

Justin Kluivert moved to AS Roma in 2018 from Ajax and this season he has been more than decent for the Serie A side, scoring four and assisting two goals in 18 top-flight matches.

Earlier this week, there had been reports that Roma are ready to send the former Ajax man to the Emirates during the summer as part of a swap deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan who’s currently on loan to the Serie A club.

And as per Calciomercato, Arsenal are willing to offer Justin Kluivert a contract worth £3.1million-per-season in an attempt to lure him to the club.

The report claims: “Rome, on the other hand, needs rich capital gains to heal the budget and avoid the painful disposals of Zaniolo and Pellegrini.

“Kluivert paid 17,5 million two years ago to Ajax by Monchi, could yield 25 of capital gain to the delight of Pallotta but also of the agent Mino Raiola.

“Rome estimates it 40 million and an exchange with Mkhitaryan could arise. Obviously not at par but with an adjustment in favour of the Giallorossi of at least 20 million even if Rome would prefer to divide the negotiations.

“Arsenal fans seem enthusiastic about the possibility of buying the striker often admired in the Europa League but who has had a fluctuating performance in the capital, topped off by misplaced declarations.

“And Kluivert himself is attracted to the Premier where his dad played only one season (in 2006-2007 at Newcastle). A 3.5 million four-year per season is ready for him. More than double what it earns in Rome.

“The sale of the Dutchman would also allow the Giallorossi leaders to close for Pedro, who is only waiting for a sign to sign the biennial promised by Petrachi.”

Mikel Arteta has no use of Mkhitaryan and if he can get someone like Justin Kluivert in his place, the Arsenal boss will be more than happy to let the Armenian remain in Rome next season.

What remains to be seen if Kluivert Jr himself wants to move to the Premier League and play for Arsenal. But if the Gunners can get their hands on him then surely they will be able to get rid of Alexandre Lacazette and free up their wage bill.
