Earlier this week it was reported that Arsenal have pulled out of the race to sign Kieran Tierney from Celtic FC.

The Gunners so far have made two official bids for the left-back but Celtic are really making it hard for Arsenal to get their hands on their most prized asset.

So out of frustration, Unai Emery had decided that signing Kieran Tierney was not his priority this summer – as per reports.

But now it looks like Arsenal are very much in the race and are confident that they will be able to sign the Scottish youngster before the English transfer window closes.

While this could be good news for the Gunners fans but with each passing day, the transfer seems to be getting more difficult for the Premier League club.

Up until now, there were reports that Napoli have been keeping tabs on Kieran Tierney over the past couple of weeks and now it looks like fellow Serie A club Inter Milan have also joined the race to sign the left-back.

Neil Lennon though has made it clear that he is not aware of any other bids apart from the ones that Arsenal have made.

“It’s as you were really,” Lennon said. “I’ve had no information other than there were two bids that came in from Arsenal that were rejected.

“There has been no further inroads into that really. We’re in a good position. We have got no intentions of selling, he’s on a long-term contract and we want him to progress with us.

“Our valuation of Kieran wasn’t met and it’s as simple as that.

“You will see other transfers not going through because valuations haven’t been met. It’s not a case of Arsenal being disrespectful.

“They put a bid in that they valued the player at. They came back again and obviously see Kieran as a very good player as we do. But on a long-term contract, we’re in a very strong position when it comes to Kieran.”

While Lennon might have ignored the interests from the Serie A clubs but major publications have been reporting these links so there is bound to be some truth in these reports.

If Inter Milan have seriously joined the race to sign Kieran Tierney then it is definitely bad news for Arsenal since they could be priced out with just a single bid.
