Arsenal have been linked with a move for Kieran Tierney during the summer transfer window and it finally looked like they have gotten their hands on the player.

The Gunners had made a second bid for the young left-back and multiple reports had claimed that the EPL club were pretty close to agreeing on a deal with Celtic FC.

And this past week, the Bhoys announced the club’s first-ever festival and immediately the fans were curious about the omission of Kieran Tierney.

The club announced on their official website: “The first-ever Celtic FC Festival, in association with Magners, kicks-off in just seven days’ time, as Glasgow’s green and white come together for a fantastic celebration of all things Celtic!

“Club Captain Scott Brown will be joined by James Forrest, Ryan Christie, Odsonne Edouard, Scott Sinclair and fellow Treble Treble winners Nir Bitton, Craig Gordon, Jack Hendry, Jonny Hayes and Callum McGregor – to meet fans and pose for selfies on the opening day of the Festival.

“On Saturday, supporters will have the chance to meet the new Bhoys Christopher Jullien and Luca Connell, who’ll be joined by Marian Shved, Lewis Morgan, Jozo Simunovic and Kristoffer Ajer!

“And last, but by no means least, your Sunday selfie station line-up includes super striker Leigh Griffiths who’ll be joined by Mikey Johnston, Daniel Arzani, Vakoun Bayo, Scott Bain and the latest Bhoy to wear the green and white – Boli Bolingoli!”

And this whole statement did not have the mention of Kieran Tierney which led to the fans to believe that the Bhoys had agreed on a deal to sell off the left-back to Arsenal.

But the absence of the youngster is not due to the transfer business but due to his injury.

Last season, Kieran Tierney missed a number of games due to a hernia problem and this summer he had undergone a surgery for the same problem.

And right now, he is recovering from the very same operation which is the possible reason why he won’t be able to meet the fans during the Celtic festival.

So relax, Celtic fans, Kieran Tierney is still a part of the iconic club.
