Arsenal have been in the pursuit of Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney for a couple of months now. And with each passing day, it looks like the Gunners will be able to get their man.

Kieran Tierney had a wonderful season for the Bhoys and a number of clubs have shown interest in signing him this summer.

Celtic know it for a fact that the defender is one of their prized possessions as a result of which the Glasgow outfit are reportedly asking around £25 million in the form of transfer fees.

Neil Lennon would have wanted to keep the youngster at the club for one more season but with EPL giants like Arsenal getting interested in the transfer, the Celtic management have decided to cash in on the player this summer itself.

And according to Kris Boyd, there is very little doubt that Kieren Tierney will be leaving Scotland as he wants to emulate fellow Scottish international, Andrew Robertson.

“I think this is a massive, massive summer for Kieran Tierney,” Boyd said on Sky Sports(as reported).

“When you get the opportunity to move to some of the clubs Kieran Tierney has been linked with, it doesn’t come along very often and it might just be the right time (to move).

“You see them in the Scotland squad together, Andy Robertson and Kieran Tierney, and they are the two that are always compared to each other.

“He has seen Roberton lift the Champions League, that’ll annoy him, he’ll be pleased, but it’ll annoy him. I wouldn’t be surprised this summer if Kieran Tierney goes also.”

And now the Daily Mail are reporting that Arsenal have stepped up interest in signing Kieran Tierney as Unai Emery wants to wrap up the transfer as soon as possible.

The report also claims that the Gunners are expected to make a formal offer for the youngster in the coming few days and it is pretty certain that the amount will be in the vicinity of what Celtic are demanding.

Leicester City are also in the race to sign Kieran Tierney as Brendan Rodgers is keen to reunite with his former Celtic star.

But we strongly believe that Arsenal is the club that the left-back will choose in order to make his time in England a success.
