Liverpool have been linked with Ousmane Dembele during the past couple of weeks but it seems that they are not alone.

During the past fortnight or so there have been numerous reports about Jurgen Klopp wanting to make a move for Ousmane Dembele during the next summer.

Some reports even went on to claim that the Liverpool manager was planning to sell off the duo of Dominic Solanke and Divock Origi in order to raise cash for the Barcelona misfit.

While these reports still hold true but it seems that Arsenal have also entered the race.

During the past 48 hours, some major publications have reported that Unai Emery is also interested in Ousmane Dembele and has asked his management to keep tabs on his situation at Barcelona.

Ousmane Dembele’s current contract with Barcelona ends in 2022 meaning the Catalans are in no hurry to offload him.

Even Ernesto Valverde has maintained that he has full faith on the forward and does not wish to offload him any time soon.

But the stance of the management seems to be very different given they have invested so much money on the youngster without any significant return.

Now it seems that the Barcelona hierarchy has given the green light to Ousmane Dembele’s sale and they are now ready to listen to bids for the player.

Liverpool will surely have the upper hand given they have more monetary superiority compared to Arsenal but one thing Jurgen Klopp cannot offer Ousmane Dembele is an unchallenged first-team role.

Any deal for the youngster is highly unlikely during the January transfer window but a few rumours have claimed that Liverpool might launch a bid in winter itself.

But such reports cannot be confirmed right now.
