Liverpool put their Premier League miseries behind as they beat Spurs to lift a record 6th Champions League trophy.

Liverpool beat the London club 2-0 courtesy of a super early goal penalty from Mo Salah and then a late one from substitute Divock Origi.

The Anfield outfit have been in sensational form all throughout the current season having lost just a single Premier League game. But somehow, Man City still managed to nick the league title.

But now, Liverpool have managed to turn the season around by winning the Champions League trophy but Jordan Henderson feels the work is still not done.

This is one of the first major trophies for Liverpool in a really long time but Henderson has claimed that they should now try and follow in the footsteps of Manchester City.

Here’s how.

Henderson told Sky Sports News: “Football moves quickly and we will go again and keep wanting more.

“[To] show that desire to keep wanting to improve and want more trophies. That is what we have got to do.

“Before this game I said [Manchester] City don’t just win one [but] two or three trophies.

“That is what we are trying to aim for and I know in this group we want to do that. We are young enough to stay together and hopefully, we can do that for a long period of time.”

Liverpool might have won the Champions League but everyone knows that their ultimate desire will be to pick up that elusive Premier League trophy next season.

And in order to do that, Jurgen Klopp’s men will have to perform even better than what they did this season which is something that many people are having serious doubts about.
