Liverpool welcome Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League this weekend and the Reds must win this in case they wish to remain at the top of the league table.

Right now Jurgen Klopp’s men are first on the table – two points ahead of Man City but they also have played one game more than the Citizens.

Spurs, on the other hand, have been knocked out of the title race a couple of weeks ago and right now Pochettino’s men will have to battle it out if they wish to hold onto the third spot on the league table come May.

Liverpool more or less have a pretty fit squad going into Sunday’s game but Klopp does have a few injury concerns.

Trent Alexander Arnold has been suffering from a mystery back problem during the past couple of days and this has cast a doubt over his participation.

But the Liverpool staff have claimed that the right-back should return back to training this Thursday and will be available for selection on Sunday.

Having said that though, it remains to be seen whether Jurgen Klopp will risk played him vs Spurs or will the German boss slot in James Milner at right-back.

There were fears about Jordan Henderson picking up an injury before England’s game vs Montenegro but the midfielder did manage to come on as a substitute which means he should feature in the first XI vs Spurs on Sunday.

Alex Oxlade Chamberlain is almost back to full fitness after a long injury layoff but this high-profile encounter vs Spurs might just come a bit too early for the England international to make his comeback.

Xherdan Shaqiri is currently being troubled by a groin injury but reports suggest the forward should be fit in time to make it to the matchday squad vs the Lilywhites.

But the summer signing is expected to start on the bench and come on in the second half only if necessary.

Midfielder Naby Keita is also sidelined with a knock and is not expected to feature during the Liverpool vs Spurs encounter this weekend.

Joe Gomez remains a long term absentee for Liverpool after the central defender went through a knee surgery a couple of weeks ago.
