Liverpool will take on Spurs in the Champions League final this weekend and they will now have a chance to redeem themselves.

The Reds lost the UCL final last season to Real Madrid but this time around everyone has pitched then as the favourites to lift the trophy.

That though will be easier said than done since Spurs have been in top form and the Lilywhites were one of the few clubs who had managed to cause any sort of serious trouble to Jurgen Klopp’s side during the 2018-19 season.

Liverpool news vs Spurs:

The first and the most obvious miss will be midfielder Naby Keita who picked an injury during the match vs Barcelona and despite a lot of reports, Klopp has made it clear that the Guinean international will not be a part of the final.

“[There is] no chance for Naby,” said Klopp.

“He is really progressing well, we will see how it will work out for him for the Africa Cup of Nations. We don’t know that yet.”

The absence of Naby Keita means that Wijnaldum and Henderson will play in a midfield trio alongside Fabinho with Henderson playing in a more advanced role.

Roberto Firmino missed the final few games of the season due to a muscle strain but the Brazilian is expected to return back to the starting XI vs Spurs.

“Bobby trained, was part of training last week and looked really good, everything was fine. Then we took him out again. He will be in training from tomorrow on again,” added Klopp.

Van Dijk should be partnered by Joel Matip as the pair has been rock solid in defence for most of the season while Alexander-Arnold and Robertson will play as the full-backs.
