Liverpool had three massive games within a span of one week and after two matches, the Anfield outfit have managed to pick up just a single point. Now, they face Arsenal in the final match of the trio and they have to pick up a win at any cost.

The Gunners are currently the favourites to win the Premier League so beating them will be no easy task but Jurgen Klopp’s side have to dig deep and get a positive result because anything other than a win and it will be really hard for them to finish in the top four.

They are already 10 points away from the fourth position so a loss this weekend and they might be playing in the Europa League next season. Liverpool are looking completely deflated right now but because they will be playing at home, the players will need to give their 100% or else the Anfield crowd will tear them to shreds.

Arsenal have gotten a full week’s rest but Liverpool played Manchester City last weekend and then on Tuesday, they travelled to London to face Chelsea. Fatigue could play a key factor in deciding the outcome of this match but Klopp won’t be able to use that as an excuse.

Liverpool’s team news and injury updates:

The manager had made a series of changes in that Chelsea game but he will have to use his best starting line up against Arsenal.

Alexander-Arnold and Robertson were both rested in midweek so they will be coming back, replacing Joe Gomez and Tsimikas. Virgil Van Dijk missed the Chelsea game due to an illness but he will hopefully recover in time to face Arsenal.

Thiago has returned to training so he is going to be assessed this weekend as well. If he is fit then it is going to be a massive boost for the Liverpool manager.

Curtis Jones played as the third midfielder on Tuesday but if Thiago is not available for selection then James Milner is going to play alongside Fabinho and Henderson.

Mo Salah was also rested in midweek so he will come back into the first XI however, Jota should hold onto his place. Gakpo came off the bench in that game but the January signing is going to get a starting role against Arsenal.

Luis Diaz is nearing full fitness but the winger is not going to be ready for this weekend.
