Liverpool won an absolute thriller against Spurs at the weekend as they scored a 94th-minute winner to pick up all three points and now they will look to make it four wins in a row when they face Fulham in midweek.

The Anfield outfit are nine points behind Manchester United plus they have played one game more which means Klopp’s team is effectively battling for the fifth spot on the table and a win against Fulham will be a big step towards achieving that target.

Liverpool are unbeaten in their previous five games whereas Fulham have lost their last two matches. However, Fulham have been a thorn in Liverpool’s neck as Klopp’s side have not been able to beat them in the last three attempts. The last time Liverpool won vs the Craven Cottage outfit was way back in March of 2019.

Because the Reds are playing at home, they are the overwhelming favourites to win on Wednesday but this one’s going to be a tough 90 minutes because Fulham are far away from the relegation battle and now they are aiming to finish in the top half of the league table.

Liverpool’s team news and injuries:

Bajcetic, Roberto Firmino and midfielder Naby Keita are all unavailable due to injuries and now in another major setback, Diogo Jota is doubtful for the midweek clash.

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Jota aggravated an injury during the Spurs game which could rule him out on Wednesday.

The manager told the press: “He got, in the West Ham game, a knock in the back, a bruised rib, could not train before the [Tottenham] game but could play without an injection or whatever, but got another knock immediately when he came on.

“You might have seen the celebrations of Diogo, he was sitting down pretty slowly. He didn’t train since then so that is one that is a doubt… he is a doubt at least but I hope he can recover until tomorrow night.”

It is going to be a big personal blow for Jota because he scored the winner vs Spurs but Klopp won’t be too worried since Luis Diaz is back to full fitness.

Diaz had a great outing on Sunday and he will hold onto his place in the starting line up.

Liverpool played a high-intensity game on Sunday so Klopp is going to make a few changes. Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones played in midfield vs Spurs but in midweek, we could see the return of Henderson in place of Elliott.

The manager has the option of using Joel Matip in place of Konate but we doubt if Klopp will risk breaking up his central defensive pairing against a team that has scored seven goals in their previous four matches.

Liverpool predicted line up vs Fulham:

Predicted Starting XI(4-3-3): Alisson; Van Dijk, Robertson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Konate; Jones, Fabinho, Henderson; Mo Salah, Gakpo, Diaz.
