Liverpool have reportedly turned down a bid for Divock Origi – according to reports.
Divock Origi has been not existential for the Reds this season and apart from the late winner against Everton a couple of weeks ago, the 23-year-old has done nothing.
And multiple reports have claimed that Jurgen Klopp is planning to send him out on loan during the January transfer window.
Keeping in line with this news, ESPN are claiming that the Reds have rejected a bid from Turkish giants Galatasaray.
Galatasaray wanted to sign Divock Origi during the summer transfer window but somehow the move did not materialize.
And now it seems Jurgen Klopp is not interested in sending the player to Turkey citing the reason that he wants Divock Origi to stay close to England.
The reason for rejection, if it holds true, is great news for Rangers and Steven Gerrard who have also been in pursuit of the striker.
Steven Gerrard is expected to sign as many as four new players in January and Divock Origi could very well be one of those players.
The Gers already have a handful of Liverpool youngsters who are currently on loan at Ibrox and Origi could be the next in line to join.
Gerrard has wonderful relations with his former club and Jurgen Klopp surely trusts the former Liverpool midfielder with the fate of his young players.
Galatasaray though are not losing hope after their rejected bid as ESPN claim the Turkish club will make yet another bid sometime next month.
So, can Rangers close a deal for Divock Origi before that?
