Liverpool are back in Europe this week when they take on Napoli at Anfield.
And this will be a must-win game for the Reds.
Liverpool need to beat the Italian side in order to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition while a draw will be enough for Napoli to go through.
But Napoli manager will know that it is not easy for a club to win a match at Anfield especially during the famed European nights.
And speaking about the atmosphere at Anfield, Virgil Van Dijk has named the one other club which has a similar vibe to the Merseyside stadium.
“It’s very special. I don’t think there’s anything like it. The games we played last year against Man City and Roma at home were unbelievable, the atmosphere. It’s just something special,” Van Dijk told ESPN(as reported by the Mirror.)
“You need to experience it so you can properly explain it, and to play in those circumstances is something special.
“Celtic Park [Van Dijk’s former club] was outstanding as well, I enjoyed every bit there, so it might be a bit similar.
“But they are two amazing clubs, and I’m glad that I’ve played for them. I’m very happy that I play for Liverpool now.”
Virgil Van Dijk started his career at Celtic and it was in Glasgow that the Dutch international established himself as a man for the big occasion.
After spending two full seasons with the Scottish giants, Van Dijk moved to the Premier League in 2015 when he joined Southampton.
And finally, it was at the start of 2018 that Virgil Van Dijk moved to Liverpool for a reported fee of £75 million.
Celtic FC were also benefitted from this deal as they received 10% of the final transfer fee due to a sell-on clause which they had on the contract with Southampton.
