Liverpool welcome Bayern Munich in the Champions League Round of 16 at Anfield on Tuesday.

Up until now it, looked like Bayern could make an easy win out of this encounter only due to the number of injuries that Jurgen Klopp is currently dealing with.

The Reds will miss Van Dijk due to suspension and both Dejan Lovren and Xherdan Shaqiri are also expected to start on the bench.

But it looks like the tide could very well have shifted in favour of the Premier League side.

Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac will be without the services of some key players on Tuesday and the most notable one of them is Thomas Muller.

Muller is currently serving a suspension from UEFA but a few other players are also missing from Bayern’s matchday squad.

Jerome Boateng will miss the first leg due to flu which is a huge blow for the Bavarian outfit.

The absence of Boateng means Niklas Sule will start in central defence alongside Mats Hummels.

Kovac will also be without the services of Arjen Robben and Corentin Tolisso both of whom are nursing injuries.

Kinglsey Coman also suffered an injury on Friday but the club have confirmed that he will be fit to play on Tuesday.

Even Frank Ribery did not travel with the Bayern squad since he became a father and some rumours immediately started claiming that the winger will also not play a part on Tuesday.

But since then, it has been confirmed that Frank Ribery will personally fly to Liverpool and will reach in time to be included in the Champions League matchday.

Manuel Neuer will also start vs Liverpool after having recovered from a hand injury in time but the German international is far from 100 per cent and it will be interesting to see how he deals with the threats from Salah and Sadio Mane.
