Aaron Ramsey is on his way out of Arsenal at the end of the season and it looks like the player has already played his final game for the Gunners.

The 28-year-old suffered a hamstring injury during the second leg of Arsenal’s Europa League quarter-final victory over Napoli and initial reports claimed that the player would be out of action for a couple of weeks.

And now providing an update on the injury, Unai Emery has hinted that Aaron Ramsey might very well have played the last match of his Arsenal career.

Emery said: “At the moment we are only in the semi-final, and secondly the prognosis is not okay for this date.

“He is important for us. We cannot use him and the danger is always there for a forward player like that.

“We have players who can play in that position, but he was in a good moment when he had this injury.

“For me, it was a good experience to work with every player and with him especially because he can transmit his energy and he showed me his heart is red with Arsenal.

“I wanted to enjoy with him. I said to him one month ago that I wanted to do something important in his last matches with us at the moment – maybe he can come back in the future.”

Arsenal currently have two more games to play in the Premier League and Aaron Ramsey will surely not be part of these matches.

But there is one ray of hope in terms of the European scene.

The Europa League final will be played at the end of this month and if the Gunners manage to reach the final then there is a slight chance that Aaron Ramsey might just be fit enough to be named on the bench.
