Manchester United will take on FC Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and Solskjaer has an uphill task.

Everyone expected United to be knocked out vs PSG itself but they have ridden their luck and are now up against one of the strongest sides in the whole of Europe.

Most pundits expect Barcelona to pick up an easy win over the two-legged tie but it looks like Man United have a glimmer of hope – atleast at home.

The first leg will be played at Old Trafford on the 10th of April and Luis Suarez might be in line to miss this game.

Luis Suarez played an influential role during Barcelona’s 4-1 win over Real Betis and the forward was taken off during the dying minutes of the match.

And now reports are claiming that the Uruguayan has sprained his ankle.

Initial reports claim that Luis Suarez could be on the sidelines for 15 to 20 days which means he is facing a race against time to face Man United at Old Trafford.

During the 2018-19 season, the forward has been a key part of the Barcelona attack, scoring 21 goals and making 11 assists in just 39 games and his absence during the Champions League clash could be a huge blow for the Catalans.

If everything goes according to plan then Luis Suarez should return back to action just before Barcelona travel to Manchester.

But even if he is deemed fit we will have to wait and see if Ernesto Valverde will risk starting a player who is not match-fit.

Manchester United are easily the underdogs vs Barcelona in the Champions League but if Luis Suarez remains unavailable for the first leg then Solskjaer would believe that his team have a golden opportunity to take a lead to Spain.
