Man City are currently four points behind Liverpool in the Premier League title race but the situation could have been much worse if City wouldn’t have beaten Liverpool.

Pep Guardiola’s men are the only team to beat Liverpool this season while they themselves have suffered three defeats.

Right now it is more or less certain that the title race is between City and Liverpool.

While the jury is split on the decision but some people feel that the inexperience of the Reds could eventually cost them the title.

But speaking this week, Man City manager Pep Guardiola has stressed on what his players should do in order to prevent Liverpool from picking up the Premier League trophy at the end of the season.

“In both situations, later or earlier, we win the games,” said Guardiola.

“If not, it’s almost over. Every game is almost a final, and it’s the same in the Cups.

“What should we do, if after we have to win and before we have to win? All the teams who want to win the title have to feel the pressure, but you have to handle it.

“I think with 15 games left and many points to play for and different circumstances, there are a lot of games in our legs, even though we change competitions day by day.

“We have to imagine what Newcastle will do and focus, that’s the only way – to be consistent and try to win.”

Liverpool will take on Leicester City in midweek while Man City take on Newcastle United away from home.

City are expected to pick up all three points from their game vs the Magpies but Jurgen Klopp’s men could be in for a tough fight especially with all the first team injuries that they have.
