Premier League sides Man United and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Inter Milan centre-back Alessandro Bastoni, according to Tuttosport.
Bastoni joined Inter 2017 and after moving around on loan spells for two years, the defender has become a regular in the first-team squad since 2019. This season, he has been one of the more consistent players for the club, playing 2311 minutes across 31 league matches.
The kind of player he is, Inter will never want to sell him but the Serie A side need to balance their books which is why they will have to cash in on some players during the summer. Alessandro Bastoni signed a new deal last year so it makes sense to sell him off because the club will be able to get a high value for him.
Teams like Man City and Arsenal have also been linked with the centre-back but as things stand, Man United and Tottenham are the most inquisitive about the 23-year-old.

Man United or Spurs: Who are likely to sign the Inter defender?
The first major hurdle for both the English sides is that Inter know how valuable Bastoni is and the Serie A club want nothing less than £50 million.
Spurs have just seen an equity infusion of £150m so paying this amount should not be a problem for them but Conte needs to make space so that he can convince Alessandro Bastoni on a move.
Erik ten Hag has also asked Man United to bring in a new ball-playing centre-back so it’s pretty logical that they are being linked with the Inter defender.
Man United are also keeping tabs on players like Pau Torres and now it depends on their new manager, who he wants as the replacement for the underperforming Harry Maguire.
Bastoni has no interest in leaving Inter and will only move out if the club want to sell him so in order to tempt him, either of the two Premier League clubs will have to guarantee him regular playing time next season.
Man United will be able to do that because Maguire has been really poor this season while Eric Bailly will be sold in the summer. However, Spurs have a more or less set defensive line so Antonio Conte will have some thinking to do if he wants to bring Alessandro Bastoni on board.
