Manchester United lost their Champions League encounter against Juventus 1-0 at home but the troubles have seemingly not ended for the Old Trafford outfit.

According to reports, the Premier League outfit could face UEFA sanctions after the team arrived late for their Tuesday night’s game.

UEFA rules demand that the teams should reach the stadium atleast 75 minutes before the kickoff but Manchester United only reached the stadium at 7:10 pm.

The late arrival happened because the team was stuck in traffic forcing Jose Mourinho to get off the bus and walk into the stadium to hand in the teamsheet.

This though is not the first time that Man United have been late for a game as the same thing happened during their Champions League game against Valencia.

After they arrived late for that game, UEFA had fined the club 15,000 euros. So to make sure that such an incident did not occur again, the Red Devils shifted from the Lowry hotel and moved to a hotel which was in the vicinity of Old Trafford.

Still, the team arrived late and now they are flirting with fresh sanctions from UEFA.

“We changed hotel. The players are in the bus for 45 minutes,” Mourinho told BT Sport.

“I walked with a hoodie in the middle of the fans, no one recognised me.

“Juve are having the same kind of problem. I informed the UEFA delegate about the problem.”
