Spurs vs Man United

Manchester United slumped to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Brighton and Hove Albion in just their second game of the new Premier League season.

The Red Devils fell behind 2-0 early on in the first half after which Romelu Lukaku pulled one back to put the match within the grasp of Man United.

But then Brighton scored one from the penalty spot which saw them restore their two-goal advantage. United did score a second during the final few minutes of the match but that goal had little impact on the outcome of the match.

In the second half Man United just went through the paces instead of taking the initiative and this has rightly infuriated the fans.

The United faithful are angry with the players’ body language on the pitch and some of them are even more furious with the action that a number of them had shown after the game.

United were playing away from home and it is more or less mandatory for the players to walk up to the travelling fans and applaud them.

And this becomes even more important when the team have performed so poorly.

But apart from a handful of players like Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard, Ashley Young and Luke Shaw almost all the players chose to walk straight into the dressing room rather than go to the supporters and apologize.

Even the captain for the night, Paul Pogba chose to walk straight off the pitch and the fans are clearly not happy with this gesture from their players.

Man United play their next game at home vs Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night.
