Manchester United suffered an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Liverpool in a pre-season friendly on Saturday and it seems that the humiliation is just getting started.

United lost the game 4-1 and after the match, Jose Mourinho severely criticized his players and their performance during the pre-season tour.

After the game, Jose Mourinho claimed that the wanted five new players during the summer transfer window and still expects two new arrivals at the club before the new Premier League season begins.

And it seems that the United fans have taken this statement a bit too seriously.

Within 24 hours of the defeat, two pictures started surfacing on the internet which showed Tottenham Hotspur’s Toby Alderweireld and Chelsea’s Willian in United jerseys.

Both Alderweireld and Willian have been long-term targets for Jose Mourinho and by the looks of it, the fans can’t wait for the players to arrive at Old Trafford.

But these pictures of Alderweireld and Willian in United jersey were quickly adjudged as fake and ever since then the United fans have become the laughing stock for their rivals.

It was later confirmed that Willian’s face was photoshopped on a Paul Pogba image while Toby Alderweireld’s inspiration came from a photo of Victor Lindelof.

Yesterday we had revealed how Jose Mourinho gave up the opportunity to sign the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe just so that he could sign Alderweireld from Tottenham Hotspur and various sources claim that Jose Mourinho will get his man before the new season kicks off.
