Manchester United travel to Anfield this Sunday to take on Liverpool in the Premier League and by the looks of it, picking up a win will be an almost impossible task for the Red Devils.

Liverpool are currently on top of the league table and are the only club who are yet to taste defeat in the league and with the number of injuries that United have currently it seems like the record will stay intact this Sunday.

Man United have injuries in almost every department of the pitch but Mourinho’s biggest concern will be with the defensive areas.

Luke Shaw did not travel with the team to Spain for their Champions League encounter and there are whispers that the Eleft-back might not travel to Liverpool as well,

Matteo Darmian also picked up a knock and should be unavailable for the Liverpool vs Man United clash. This though should not be a problem since Diogo Dalot should recover in time to play at right-back.

Marcos Rojo started the game against Valencia in midweek but he was taken off in at half-time with an injury.

Chris Smalling is recovering from a foot injury while Victor Lindelof is out until the end of December with a hamstring problem.

This means that Jose Mourinho will have to start with Phil Jones and Eric Bailly in central defence on Sunday.

Scott McTominay was scheduled to start against Valencia in midweek but the midfielder picked up an injury in training and reports have it that he too will be unfit for the Liverpool vs Man United clash.

Alexis Sanchez is out until the new year and his like-to-like replacement, Anthony Martial is yet to return back to full training after picking up a hamstring strain last week.

Yes, Jose Mourinho still has a lot of players who he can name in the first XI but amongst all these injured players there are many who had been in top form before they entered the medical room.
