Man United take on Liverpool in the Premier League this weekend at Old Trafford.

And this game could have a severe impact on the top half of the table.

If Liverpool were to pick up all three points then Jurgen Klopp’s men would maintain the pace with Man City for the title challenge whereas if United were to prevail then it would go a long way in helping them secure a top-four finish at the end of the season.

Man United team news vs Liverpool:

Manchester United have some really serious injury concerns going into this game and perhaps the biggest worry is with Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard.

The pair picked up muscle injuries during Man United’s loss to PSG and they could very well miss the game vs Liverpool on Sunday.

Martial and Lingard did return back to training this week but the club have confirmed that they still remain a doubt for the high-profile clash.

If Lingard and Martial were to miss the game then Solskjaer might use the same ploy which he used vs Chelsea on Monday.

This means both Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford will both start up front while Juan Mata will play just behind the two strikers.

The midfield trio of Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic will remain unaltered and Victor Lindelof should be partnered by Chris Smalling in central defence.

Antonio Valencia is still out injured which means that Ashley Young will once again play at right-back with Diogo Dalot starting on the bench.
