Man United suffered yet another loss in the Premier League, this time going down 2-0 to Arsenal away from home.

The Red Devils had a very good December beating the likes of Spurs and Man City and then towards the end of the month, picking up some very decent wins against the likes of Newcastle and Burnley.

And these wins meant they went into the Arsenal game with a lot of confidence and as clear favourites.

Unfortunately, though, it was Arsenal who turned up the heat during the game and for one the Gunners did not look a poor side this season.

The home side bossed every aspect of the game but according to Phil Neville, there was one particular thing that forced Man United on the back foot and possibly cost then three points.

“Look, they didn’t deserve to win today but I thought we had chances in the game where you could have played a pass through, where you needed that extra bit of quality,” Neville said on Match of the Day via The Express.

“I think this is where Ole Gunnar needs to strengthen.

“Moments like this where the right weight, the right pass, pass to the right side.

“I totally agree [the defence] is not good enough but I always think the defending side of the game is easier to rectify, to get better.

“It’s the final end of the pitch where you need to spend money, where you win Champions Leagues and where you win Premier Leagues.”

Paul Pogba did not play in this match and now reports are claiming that he will have a foot surgery which could keep him out of action until the end of January.

This means that there’s no other option but for Ole Gunner Solskjaer to head out into a transfer market in trying to sign a new creative midfielder during the January transfer window.
