Man United take on Southampton at home this weekend and the Red Devils will be hoping to keep their winning run going.

During the Palace game, Solskjaer was without a series of first-team players due to injuries but that did not cause any hindrance for the Old Trafford outfit.

The likes of Juan Mata, Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic all missed the midweek encounter and now the manager has given an update on his players’ injuries.

Solskjaer has made it clear that most of these players are not expected to return for the Southampton game but Marcus Rashford is fully fit and should start during the weekend.

“Rashford is fully fit now. I’ll probably start him,” the Man United manager informed the media.

“I don’t think there will be many changes,

It’s the last session today, but we’re not going to take any risks, so maybe Anthony [Martial], but it might just be even a few more days before he’s ready, so probably the squad will look similar to what it did on Wednesday.

“Maybe one-third of them will be Academy kids – maybe even more – so that’s a good point to take out of it.

It’s about getting back to winning ways at home,

The Liverpool game was a draw, and the Burnley game before that was a draw, so we need to start picking up more points at home. So that’s the focus now.

The return of Marcus Rashford means that Diogo Dalot could drop back to the bench and the front three should comprise of three first-team regulars.

Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay should retain their place in the first XI for Man United while Fred could make way for Andreas Pereira.
