4-2-3-1 Man United’s predicted line up vs Liverpool: Jadon Sancho ruled out with illness?

Man United are in peak form right now and after beating West Ham United, the Red Devils will now take on Liverpool in the Premier League.

Manchester United head to Anfield for this high-profile game and after a really long time, it’s United who are the favourites to pick up a win. The away side are undefeated in 10 of their last 11 matches in the league and most people will be putting their money on them to secure the three points.

The Red Devils picked up their first silverware in five seasons by lifting the Carabao Cup and just before that, they knocked out Barcelona from the Europa League. They also beat the Hammers on Wednesday to progress to the next round of the FA Cup and this is the ideal kind of form before taking on a low-in-confidence Liverpool team.

Erik ten Hag has worked wonders with this team so despite this being an away game for them, Manchester United will likely be the one who will take the game to Liverpool.

Manchester United’s team news and injuries:

Donny van de Beek is ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury and Christian Eriksen will also miss out because he will only be fit some time next month.

Anthony Martial is also sidelined with an injury and the forward is not going to be available for Sunday’s trip to Liverpool. Martial’s absence means Weghorst will keep his place in the team.

Talking about Martial’s return, the manager has said: ‘I don’t have an expectation about [his return]; let him do his work. Several times now, he comes back, and he drops back too quickly.

‘When he is available, then we have an extra option, and a good option, so give him time.’

Luke Shaw had a knock forcing him to miss the FA Cup game and he will be assessed before Sunday. If he is not available then Malacia will play on the left.

Casemiro came off the bench against West Ham and the Brazilian single-handedly changed the momentum in favour of Man United. He will definitely be one of the first names on ETH’s teamsheet on Sunday and we think the manager is going to rely on Fred as his midfield partner.

Sabitzer had a pretty good outing on Wednesday night but Fred gives Manchester United an unbelievable work rate, something which will come very handy against Liverpool.

Jadon Sancho missed the Hammers game due to illness but even if he is fit, Garnacho will be rewarded with a start because of his superb winner in midweek.

Rashford came off the bench in the FA Cup win but he will lead the line on Sunday with Weghorst playing as the No 10 and Bruno Fernandes playing out wide on the right flank.
