Celtic are keeping a keen eye on Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay – as per reports.

The Scottish international have been an active member of the Manchester United squad this season but under Jose Mourinho, the midfielder had hardly played in his natural role.

This season, Scott McTominay has made seven Premier League appearances but most of them have been off the bench.

And now reports are claiming that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could let the player leave on loan until the end of the season.

The caretaker boss seems to have settled down his favourite players for the rest of the season and Scott McTominay does not really feature on that list.

And the player could be sent out to receive some much-needed game time.

According to reports, Celtic are keenly monitoring the situation at Old Trafford and if Solskjaer gives the green light then the Hoops would make a move for the 22-year-old.

But the report also suggests that the move of Scott McTominay out of Old Trafford would highly depend on Marouane Fellaini.

The big Belgian has hardly featured for Man United ever since the Jose Mourinho left the club and rumours have it that the midfielder could head out on loan.

And if Fellaini does leave the club then Solskajer is not likely to let Scott McTominay depart.

But if Man United fail to find a buyer for Fellaini then Scott McTominay could head out of the club.

Now it remains to be seen whether the Scottish international ends up at Celtic for the rest of the season.

Scott McTominay’s current contract with Man United runs out in 2021 with an option to extend for a further year.
