Manchester United have named their asking price for forward Anthony Martial and it’s pretty clear what Jose Mourinho’s intentions are.

Jose Mourinho has always maintained that he will not sell Martial during the summer transfer window but recent comments from the Frenchman’s representative Philippe Lamboley has sparked a lot of controversies.

Lamboley has claimed that Anthony Martial is fed up with life at Manchester United and wants to move out. He also added that it was only the love from the United fans that has kept him at Old Trafford for so long.

Martial have always played second fiddle to the likes of Marcus Rashford or Jesse Lingard during the 2017-18 season and he further fell down the pecking order when the club signed Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in January.

It was during this time that Martial’s potential move out of Manchester caught wind and now these rumours are stronger than ever.

Manchester United though are desperate to keep the forward at Old Trafford and if recent reports are to be believed then Jose Mourinho has slapped a £75million price tag on Anthony Martial.

This hefty asking price is a clear statement that Manchester United are not in the mood to part ways with the player and the club are hoping that the £75million price tag will cool the interest from the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

Both the London clubs are said to be planning a bid for Anthony Martial but now with the £75million asking price set by United, these clubs are sure to have second thoughts.

If United refuse to lower their price then surely Spurs will pull out of the race given the fact that they never spend such absurd amounts of money in the transfer market.

Chelsea too are looking to rebuild their squad during the summer and spending that much of money on one player will surely burn a big hole in their pocket.

Another club that is interested in buying Martial are Serie A side Juventus but like Spurs, Juve too, are not known to be big spenders in the transfer market.
