Man United take on Manchester City in the Premier League this weekend and Solskjaer’s men go into this game with their tails up.

The Red Devils beat Derby County in the FA Cup this weekend and the time of writing this article, they are just three points off the fourth spot on the league table.

Man United are now unbeaten in their last nine matches in all competitions and have kept six clean sheets in their last seven at home meaning City have all to do this Sunday.

With each passing game, Solskjaer seems to be working his magic and right now, the Red Devils are a much more improved side than what they were during the start of the season.

Man United news vs Man City:

David De Gea made a really poor mistake vs Everton last weekend which helped the Toffees get their only goal of the match but Ole will most certainly put his faith on the Spaniard once again.

Harry Maguire missed the FA Cup win due to an injury and now as per the latest reports, the player will not be fit in time to take on Manchester City which, if true, will be a huge setback for Man United.

If Maguire cannot be fit in time then it will be the pairing of Bailly and Victor Lindelof who will play in central defence this weekend while Luke Shaw is expected to keep his place at left-back.

Wan-Bissaka also missed the Derby County win with an injury but the right-back is expected to be fit in time for the Manchester Derby.

With Maguire likely to miss out, the manager would want to give as much protection to his backline as possible which is why Nemanja Matic should start in central defence alongside Fred and Scott McTominay.

Bruno Fernandes has been the creative spark for Manchester United ever since joining the club in January and the Portuguese will play in the playmaker’s role on Sunday.

Anthony Martial came off the bench on Thursday but Frenchman will replace Odion Ighalo upfront vs Man City while Mason Greenwood is also expected to come back into the starting line-up.

Daniel James is another player who has been struggling with an injury but he should be fit in time. But we feel the manager will name him on the bench for this high-profile tie.
