Man United travel to Vicarage Road this weekend in order to take on Watford in the Premier League and a win in this game could be very beneficial for Solskjaer’s men.

This very same weekend, Chelsea and Spurs go head to head and if that match were to end in a draw then Man United could move even closer to the top-four of the league table.

Ole has a more or less fit squad to choose from this weekend and some of his key players were rested in midweek when Manchester United beat Colchester in the EFL Cup.

Man United team news vs Watford:

Going into this match, Man United have no major injury concerns as far as the defensive line is concerned meaning Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire will return to central defence while Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw will play as full-backs.

Bissaka and Lindelof were both rested in midweek but should come back into the first XI at Vicarage Road.

Nemanja Matic and Andreas Pereira played in central midfield vs Colchester meaning both Fred and McTominday got some much-deserved rest and will be fully recharged for the Watford game.

Paul Pogba was expected to be fit for this match but now Solskjaer has revealed that the midfielder has fallen ill, meaning his return back to action has been pushed back further.

With Pogba ruled out for this game, Jesse Lingard is once again expected to play in the attacking midfielder’s role on Sunday.

Daniel James did not feature in the matchday squad vs Colchester in midweek but will return to the starting line-up on Sunday at Vicarage Road.

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial both played and scored in the EFL Cup draw but will surely start against Watford during the weekend.

During the past couple of months, we have more or less understood how Ole likes to set up his side and the fact that he also seems to have chosen his favourite players.

So barring an injury setback we don’t see the manager making any big changes to his first XI on Sunday vs Watford.

And with the Hornets picking up just one win in their first 17 Premier League matches so far we don’t see Man United hitting any major roadblocks during the weekend.
