Man United will face Leeds United this weekend in the Premier League and then just three days later they are back in Europe as they take on Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Both these games are of great importance to Manchester United but since the UCL fixture is a much more challenging game, many have predicted Ralf Rangnick to rest some of his key players for the Elland Road trip.

Man United have a chance to revive their season somewhat by progressing far enough in the Champions League which is why Rangnick will be eagerly looking at the Atletico Madrid game but the manager has just made it clear where his priorities are.

The German has revealed that he is not going to make too many changes to his starting lineup on Sunday but he does expect to rotate his first XI in midweek or maybe for their next PL game.

“Possibly, yes,” Rangnick replied when asked if he’d need to make changes on Sunday.

“Maybe for Wednesday or Saturday but not so much physically for Sunday’s game because the last game was on Tuesday, so five days between Tuesday and Sunday, I don’t think that it will be necessary to rest some players for the Leeds game.

“What we will do, we will try to play the best possible team to win the game at Leeds, and, then again, we do the same for the game against Atletico on Wednesday.”

Man United need to win against their local rivals if they wish to have any chance at finishing in the top four so there’s no way the manager can risk resting his star players – that too against a Bielsa side.

Almost every team in the league is able to match up to this current United side meaning there are no free points for the Old Trafford outfit right now.

If United fail to beat Leeds then they will slip out of the top four and Rangnick knows very well that with this team he won’t be able to get too far in the Champions League either which is why the manager is very much going with the philosophy of one in hand is worth two in the bush.

Players like Varane and Paul Pogba will be coming back into the first XI on Sunday but other than that, we don’t expect to see any more reshuffles.
