Real Madrid are willing to part ways with Marco Asensio this summer and the winger’s next destination could be the English Premier League.

Arsenal have shown an inclination towards signing the 25-year-old but as per the latest updates, the Gunners will face competition from fellow English rivals Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

Football London are citing reports: “The Gunners face a transfer battle with Liverpool and Tottenham for Marco Asensio this summer according to a report in Spain.

“Todo Fichajes claim that Mikel Arteta’s side face stiff competition for the attacking midfielder as Real Madrid look to raise funds to help deal with their financial difficulties that have been caused by Covid-19.”

Where will Marco Asensio end up next season?

Marco Asensio has been with Real Madrid since 2015 but the recent pandemic means Madrid are ready to part ways with anyone given the right offer is made.

And with three major Premier League clubs interested in signing him, there’s a big chance Asensio could be on his way to England in the next few weeks.

Liverpool will the favourites to land the winger since they can offer him Champions League football next season but they already have Mo Salah meaning it will be really hard for Jurgen Klopp to convince him of a move.

There’s no way the Liverpool boss can guarantee Asensio regular playing time next season and this could be one major factor that could help Arsenal and Spurs leap over the Reds.

Real Madrid want around €30 million to let Marco Asensio leave and both the North London clubs can afford the above mentioned transfer fee.

But, the big question is whether the two-time Champions League winner will want to join a club where he can’t play in Europe next season.

Marco Asensio still has two more years left on his current deal but it’s being claimed that Carlo Ancelotti is not a big fan of the winger so Real Madrid will have no problems in letting him leave during the ongoing transfer window.
