Manchester United names Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their permanent manager last week after the Norwegian made great strides as the caretaker boss.

Many people have claimed that the best thing Ole has done is to make Paul Pogba look like a top-class player once again.

But according to Jamie Carragher, it is Marcus Rashford and not Pau Pogba who has been the key player for Solskjaer even since Jose Mourinho left the scene.

He told Sky Sports(as reported): “It was inevitable that Solskjaer would get the job. It was just the timing of the announcement.

“You look at the first goal [of Manchester United ’s 2-1 win over Watford on Saturday]… the blistering pace, the counter-attack.

“Rashford has just been a revelation since Solskjaer has come in. He’s been the one for me.

“People talk about Paul Pogba a lot but for me, Rashford has been the real difference. He looks like a Manchester United forward now. He’s a constant threat.

“Solsjkaer has not just got results but has had an impact on individual players.

“He’s the man for the next two or three years and the question is can they get back to challenging for major titles?”

Under Solskjaer, Marcus Rashford has mostly played down the middle as the main striker and this has really upped the game of the England international.

Marcus Rashford has not only scored a flurry of goal but with the academy graduate playing through the middle, United get that blistering pace on counter attacks which has been a key figure for Ole’s success during the past couple of months.
