Manchester United need to solve a number of contract situations before the summer transfer window begins and perhaps the biggest agenda will be to make Marcus Rashford put pen on paper to a new deal.

Marcus Rashford currently earns £75,000 per week under the terms of his current deal but this contract is going to expire next year.

The club does have an option to extend it for a further year but reports suggest that Marcus Rashford has already agreed to a new deal at the club.

Recently Solskajer had claimed that he would love to see Marcus Rashford be a one-club man and finish his career at Man United.

“That would be fantastic,” the Norwegian said.

“We all know the legends we’ve had at this club that have stayed here for so long and have been one-club players.

“We hope Rashy is going to be one of them. If he keeps producing he’ll stay in the team.

“He’s still only 21 so you don’t expect the consistency yet in all his play, but he’s always got that quality.

“His finishing, his striking of the ball, his attitude, that’s always going to be with him.”

The report suggests that both the parties are in the final stages of agreeing on the terms of the new deal and if Marcus Rashford was to sign it then he would see a substantial rise in wages.

Under the terms of his new contract, the England international will receive £150,000 per week, rising to £2000,000 with add-ons and bonuses.

This wage structure is nothing compared to what top players are receiving right now and this is the least that Manchester United can do to keep Marcus Rashford at Old Trafford.

But ever since Zidane has returned to Real Madrid some reports have surfaced that the manager wants to make a move for Rashford during the summer transfer window.
