Chelsea were humiliated by Manchester City in the Premier League this past weekend.
The Blues travelled to the Etihad in the hopes of picking up a win vs Pep Guardiola’s men but the only thing they managed was to concede six goals.
This was a particularly embarrassing night for Maurizio Sarri’s men and now multiple reports are claiming that the manager might now last the whole season.
Next, up Chelsea take on Man United in the FA Cup and this game will be a very crucial one for Maurizio Sarri and his future at the club.
And speaking before the fifth round FA Cup tie, Maurizio Sarri revealed the one problem that he currently needs to solve.
“Not this week”, Sarri replied when asked about talking to owner Roman Abramovich.
“It’s not true that I never speak with him, let’s say I don’t speak with him very frequently. I like to speak with the club, but not necessarily with the owner.
“I often speak with Marina and that’s enough for me”.
“We were motivated against Manchester City. We proved that in the first 5-6 minutes, the problem is that we didn’t show any reaction.
“That’s a problem we need to solve. Sometimes I think about the game against Tottenham, a game where we didn’t have the right approach.
“This time it was different. We had a good approach, simply we didn’t react.
“It’s not true that players don’t follow my guidelines but this is the most difficult part of the season”.
Rumours have it that February will be a crucial month for Maurizio Sarri with games against the likes of Man United, Spurs and Man City line up.
And if the Blues fail to pick up wins in these games then Roman Abramovich will mostly start the process of finding a new manager.
