Chelsea have just appointed Maurizio Sarri as their new boss after sacking Antonio Conte and how the former Napoli boss has a tough couple of weeks ahead of him.

On one hand he will have to move fast and bring in a number of new signings to Stamford Bridge and on the other hand, he will have the tough job of holding on to some of the star players.

Amongst the players who are expected to leave the club the names of Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois and Willian are up at the top and now the manager has delivered his views on these three players.

During a press conference, Maurizio Sarri has claimed that whether the players leave the club or not is totally dependent on him and he is pretty confident that the trio will stay in London.

Sarri said“It doesn’t depend only on me,

“[But] I am confident [they will stay].”

And this statement is not good news for Manchester United and Jose Mourinho might very well suffer a dual blow if Maurizio Sarri can keep his word.

While United have been in the pursuit of Willian for some time now, recently Barcelona have also grown fond of the Brazilian winger. But is not the failure to get Willian that might be the main cause of concern for Mourinho.

Real Madrid have been in hot pursuit of Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois and if Maurizio Sarri can convince the Belgium keeper to stay at Stamford Bridge then the Los Blancos might just shift their focus back to David De Gea.

The summer transfer window for the Premier League closes on the 9th of August after which the EPL clubs can only sell players but not bring in replacements. So this effectively means that Sarri has a fortnight to convince the trio of Eden Hazard, Courtois and Willian to stay at Chelsea.

Or in the worst case scenario – find three world-class replacements.
