Maurizio Sarri was appointed as the manager of Chelsea last summer and the Italian has had a really tough time in England.
The former Napoli boss received some heavy criticism during the 2018-19 season primarily because his famed Sarri-ball had turned out to be a major failure in England.
On top of that almost every signing of his has failed to many any sort of major impression during the past season. And obviously, there were those, spats with players.
But the Blues did manage to end such a disappointing season on a high as they beat Arsenal 4-1 in the final, to lift the Europa League.
This though as done very little to solve anything and now reports are claiming that Maurizio Sarri has put in a formal request to be released from managerial duties at Chelsea as the Italian is eyeing the same role at Juventus.
Many sources are claiming that the Stamford Bridge are ready to accept the request and let Maurizio Sarri leave.
But it looks like the Italian is also planning to take two of the current Chelsea players with him to Turin.
If reports are to be believed then the formal Napoli boss is planning to take Gonzalo Higuain and Emerson to Juventus along with him.
The report claims that Sarri has already held talks with both Juventus and Higuain in order to take back the Argentine to his parent club this summer.
Maurizio Sarri fought tooth and nail in order to get rid of Alvaro Morata and bring in Gonzalo Higuain as a replacement but if the Argentinian does follow his current boss back to Juventus then surely the Blues will be in murky waters once again.
Alvaro Morata is currently out on loan to Atletico Madrid but if Higuain leave the Blues this summer then surely the club will have no other option but to call back the Spaniard.
Emerson has been tipped as the long-term replacement for Marcos Alonso at Chelsea but if he too decides to head to Juventus with Maurizio Sarri then it will be a major setback for the Blues given that they cannot afford to sign any new players this summer.
