Liverpool picked up a hard-fought win vs Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday despite Mo Salah remaining an injury absentee.

The Egyptian picked up a knock during Liverpool’s game vs Leicester City a couple of weeks ago and then aggravated it vs Manchester City two weeks ago.

This injury meant Mo Salah was named in the matchday squad vs the Eagles but remained on the bench and since then there were doubts over his participation in the Champions League clash in midweek.

On Wednesday, Liverpool welcome Napoli at Anfield and a win in this match would ensure qualification to the next round.

And now the Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Mo Salah is fully fit and available for selection when the Serie A side come to town.

“Mo is all good,” the Liverpool manager told the club’s official website.

“He couldn’t train for nine days; he was with the Egyptian national team, went home and trained kind of 60 or 70 per cent the day before yesterday.

“Yesterday was the first time 100 per cent, so we had then to make the decision of whether we started him or not.

“We didn’t start him, we wanted to bring him on as you probably saw but then we scored. So, we could rest him today, that’s really good and Wednesday he will be back.”

Mo Salah has been a key player for Liverpool this season and his absence was clearly felt during the win vs Palace.

But with the winger fully fit, he will most certainly be named in the first XI on Wednesday more so since a win vs Napoli would confirm entry into the knockout stages of the Champions League for the Reds.

Without Mo Salah in the first XI on Saturday, it was Sadio Mane who played down the right flank while it was Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who played on the left-hand side. But with the Egyptian returning back, Mane will head back to his usual position while Salah operates on the right-hand side.
