Steven Gerrard wants Filip Helander at Aston Villa

During the course of this week, some reports have claimed that Alfredo Morelos could be on his way out of the club.

As per the rumours, French club OGC Nice are planning to launch a bid for Alfredo Morelos.

Nice are currently being managed by Patrick Viera and the manager looks all set to lose Mario Balotelli who is expected to join Marseille sometime this month.

And the former Arsenal man seems to have picked out Alfredo Morelos as a replacement for Balotelli.

Reports have it that OGC Nice desperately want to sign the Colombian and are willing to pay 8 million pounds for the services of the striker.

With such a big amount being tabled many believe that Rangers would cash in but now Steven Gerrard has said otherwise.

Talking about OGC Nice’s interest in Morelos, Gerrard said“At the moment in this window, Alfredo won’t be going anywhere.

“But every one of our players has got a price, I’m not naive enough to sit here and say they haven’t.

“But none of my players will be going out the door certainly in this window, so anyone who is preparing a bid or thinking of a bid will be wasting their time.”

While the amount that OGC Nice are willing to pay is a pretty big one but the reality is that the Gers might be able to get even more out of the player’s sale during the summer transfer window.

And with Jermain Defoe still to settle down at Ibrox, it would be a pretty foolish decision for Rangers to sell off Morelos to OGC Nice this month.
