Neil Lennon took charge of Celtic in the form of a caretaker boss after Brendan Rodgers chose to join Premier League club Leicester City a couple of weeks ago.

A lot of eyebrows were raised by the fans upon Rodgers’ departure but most people feel the management have done a good enough job by bringing in Neil Lennon as the interim boss.

Recently Man United caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was handed the job on a permanent basis and many Scottish legends feel Lennon could also walk down a similar path by the end of the season.

And speaking on this exact same this, former Bhoys man Chris Sutton has revealed what Neil Lennon needs to do in order to land a permanent job at Celtic Park by the end of the season.

“Lennon could really do with a win. And an impressive one at that” Sutton told the Daily Record.

“Lennon needs a win, and he could really do with getting one in a bit of style to convince people he’s the man.

“If Celtic take Rangers apart with a sensational display, I’d say the permanent job is as good as Lennon’s.”

While the prospect of beating Rangers emphatically sounds very good in theory but the reality is altogether different.

Under Neil Lennon, Celtic have struggled to find their rhythm and most often than not, the Bhoys have just about managed to get past the finish line.

In order to get a handsome win in the Old Firm Derby, Celtic would have to really up their game which in all honesty looks very difficult in such a short span of time.
