Newcastle United travel to the Emirates Stadium this Monday to take on Arsenal in the English Premier League.

Right now Rafa Benitez’s men are currently 13th on the league table but they are in a good run of form having lost just one game in their past five matches.

But all that could very easily change on Monday given Arsenal will be giving it all in order to keep hold of their fourth spot on the table.

Newcastle United news vs Arsenal:

Unlike Arsenal, Newcastle United have very few injury concerns going into this match.

Fabian Schar picked up an injury while on international duty but the player is suspended any way do it will not be of any concern for Rafa Benitez. Jamaal Lascelles remains a doubt for Monday’s game but some reports claim the defender may very well feature in the first XI for Newcastle United.

Rafa Benitez is expected to play a five-man defensive line in order to stop the Arsenal attack which should consist of Andre Yedlin and Matt Ritchie playing as full-backs while the trio of Lejeune, Frederico Fernandez and Ciaran Clark will play in central defence.

The Magpies manager is expected to pack up the midfield so as to deny any space for Arsenal to operate which also means Salomon Rondon will be the sole man playing up-front and he will have the job of unsettling the Arsenal defence with every chance he gets.

Jonjo Shelvey and Isaac Hayden should play in central midfield while Ayoze Perez will operate on the right-hand side and Almiron on the left.

If the Newcastle United boss does indeed follow this setup then surely the Gunners will have a really tough time breaking into the final third.
