Manchester United will take on PSG in the Champions League Round of 16 next month and the first leg will be played at Old Trafford.

Just last month even the Man United fans would have known that PSG would come out easy winners in this game but ever since the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the mood seems to have changed.

The fans are starting to believe that their players can actually make a fight out of this game – no matter what the outcome.

And on top of that key players from the PSG squad are getting injured.

A couple of days ago, Thomas Tuchel lost Marco Verratti to an injury and the midfielder could miss the clash vs Man United.

And now it seems Neymar too will miss the two-legged encounter.

Neymar injured himself during PSG’s win over Strasbourg in midweek and this was right after the Brazilian tried to do a rainbow flick.

After the game, Strasbourg’s Anthony Goncalves had a few harsh words to say about Neymar.

“It’s Neymar’s style, but don’t come and complain when you get kicked,” said Goncalves.

“He is a great player, I respect him. He can enjoy himself but don’t come blubbering afterwards.”

And now PSG have released a statement in which the Paris outfit have confirmed that Neymar has injured his metatarsal.

The statement read: “Initial examinations have revealed a painful recurrence of his injury to the fifth metatarsal of his right foot.

“The treatment of this injury will depend on how it evolves over the next few days. All options can be envisaged at this time.”

And immediately the question that the fans are asking is how long with the former Barcelona man be out.

The player suffered a very similar injury during February of 2018 and during that time Neymar was out for 80 days – missing 15 games.

While the extent of the injury will only be known once the swelling goes down but initial reports suggest that the player will most probably miss the two-legged tie vs Man United in the Champions League.
