RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner is currently the most talked about player in the Bundesliga.
And as things stand, there is a long queue of clubs who want to sign him up.
Timo Werner joined Leipzig from Stuttgart in 2016 and since then he has turned himself into one of the best strikers in European football.
This season the forward has managed to score 13 goals in just 22 games and Leipzig are having a hard time to keep him at the club.
If rumours are true then as many as 10 clubs want to sign Timo Werner which includes clubs like Liverpool and Manchester City.
Liverpool want Werner as a long term replacement for Roberto Firmino while Man City too want the German to replace the ageing Sergio Aguero.
Leipzig are adamant not to let him leave this month but they know very well that they won’t be able to hold onto him much longer.
Hence reports are suggesting that the German outfit are willing to let Timo Werner leave on one condition.
Werner’s current deal expires in 2020 and RB want him to sign a new contract at the club because they wish to include a £61 million release clause.
This means that Timo Werner will finally have a base price tag and then Leipzig can finally squeeze out more money from the interested clubs.
But £61million is still a very small transfer fee in today’s day and age.
None of the clubs though are interested in making a move for Timo Werner this month and any deal will only be possible at the end of the season or once the striker signs a new deal.
While Liverpool and Man City are desperate to sign the forward but many pundits believe that the German will eventually move to Spain.
Some reports also claim that Timo Werner could scrap a move out of the country and join Bayern Munich.
