Chelsea beat Watford 3-0 in the Premier League this past weekend and given that Arsenal and Spurs both dropped points, the Blues have now officially secured Champions League football next season.

The Blues saw goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheek, David Luiz and Gonzalo Higuain in what turned out to be a pretty easy game at the Bridge, but there might be a bit of a concern for the Blues regarding the injury of N’Golo Kante.

Sarri caused a stir at the start of the season when he chose to deploy N’Golo Kante as a wide midfielder in order to accommodate Jorginho in the role that the Frenchman had played so aptly during the past couple of season.

But being the gentleman that N’Golo Kante is, he made no fuss about it and went on with his job and by the start of the second half, the World Cup winner was excelling at his new found role.

Now though it seems like the midfielder might already have played his final game of the season after he picked up a suspected hamstring injury during the win vs Watford.

N’Golo Kante had to be taken off within the first 10 minutes of the match and now Sarri has come out to claim that he is the one to blame for the midfielder’s injury.

Sarri said: “The problem is with his hamstring. But I think that I made a mistake because, probably, today he had to rest.

“Sometimes it’s very difficult to put on the bench a player so important like (Eden) Hazard, like Kante, but you have to do it.

Otherwise, you risk, and I have to say that I made a mistake.

“I don’t know. We have to wait until Monday morning, I think. But I think it’s very difficult to recover him for the next two matches.

“But we want to play in the final (of the Europa League), so he’s lucky! We have to try and recover him for the final in case (we get there).”

But once again N’Golo Kante has come out to show his soft nature as he refused to blame his manager for overplaying him.

“No[I don’t blame the manager]. I was just fine and it just happened,” Kante said.

“I’m ok, I just have pain through my hamstring and I just need a bit of time to check what it is. That is one possibility [that I will be out until the final], but first, we need to check and take the time to check everything to see how long it will take.”

But as things stand, N’Golo will most likely not feature vs Eintracht in the Europa League semi-final second leg this week and will also not be a part of Chelsea final home game this season vs Leicester City.
