Man United take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League this Wednesday and according to talkSPORT presenter Adrian Durham, the clash should be postponed.

As things stand, Solskjaer will be without 10 first team players during the clash at Selhurst Park with the likes of Lingard, Mata and Rashford all out with injuries.

Ander Herrera, Anthony Martial and Nemanja Matic are also ruled out from the game and the Man United manager has already made it clear that a number of academy youngsters might be involved during the Palace vs Man United tie.

And Durham feels that the match should be postponed.

Here’s why:

“Crystal Palace vs Manchester United, United have 10 players out,” Durham said as reported.

“Already on social media people are going wild about it, ‘how can you possibly say postpone the game?’.

“Well let me explain why the game should be postponed. Manchester United have 10 players out.

“Now even if you discount one of those players on the injury list, Mason Greenwood who’s a youngster, very highly-rated youngster but he’s not a first-team regular, you have Lingard, Mata, Rashford, Herrera, Jones, Matic, Darmian, Valencia, Martial all out.

“If they were all featuring on a first-team team sheet, if they were in the first XI, nobody would think it was odd, but they’re all out.

“So United have been robbed of all those players.

“It’s an unusual set of circumstances because we rarely have midweek Premier League games but we’ve got them this week and I personally love them.

“But what I don’t love is United’s second string playing. If it was a cup tie they’d be accused of playing a weakened team.

“So it’s supposed to be the elite the Premier League, people pay for tickets, a lot of money for tickets, people pay TV subscriptions so they can watch games and highlights and whatever.

“And yet we’re saying United have got to play this game, even though most of their best players are out injured.

“It doesn’t make sense to me.”
