Man United midfielder Paul Pogba missed a penalty vs Wolves on Monday which resulted in two dropped points for the Red Devils.

It was the Frenchman who had won the penalty after he was brought down inside the box but instead of Marcus Rashford taking the spot-kick, it was Paul Pogba who took the responsibility.

And so naturally after he missed the shot, there has been a huge debate as to why the midfielder was allowed to take the penalty despite Rashford taking the penalty vs Chelsea during the first match of the season.

Paul Pogba has been met with a lot of criticism after this and some people have even pointed fingers at the Man United manager because of his failure to properly delegate duties.

So naturally, you would think that Ole would clearly mention before the Crystal Palace game as to who will take penalties in the future.

But speaking to the press, the Norwegian boss has made it clear that Paul Pogba will not be removed from penalty duties.

“I’m sure you’re going to see Paul Pogba score a penalty for Man United again,” said Solskjaer(as reported).

“Let’s see when we get the next one.

“We’re practising penalties and Marcus and Paul are still on them. Marcus or Paul will score the next one, I’m sure they will.

“Don’t be surprised if Marcus or Paul scores the next one, so absolutely no fighting amongst them. We’re disappointed we didn’t win the game but the talk is more difficult when you don’t get a result.

“It’s not that I’ve left it to the players, we’ve nominated two and throughout the season you’ll have games where they are not playing and it’s good to know they’re there and trusted to take pens.

“It’s not like anarchy and they can do whatever they want, we have a few, last year we had Marcus, Jesse [Lingard] and Paul all score when I was here, it’s not left to them.”
