Man United take on West Ham United in the 5th Round of the FA Cup on Tuesday and midfielder Paul Pogba has been ruled out of the game with an injury.

The Frenchman has been in fine form for the Red Devils over the past month-and-a-half but he had to be taken off in the first half of the Everton game with what looked like a muscle injury.

And just one day before Man United take on the Hammers, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed to the club’s official channel that Paul Pogba will be out of action for a few weeks.

“It’s an injury that will take a few weeks to heal,” manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer informed MUTV, as quoted by the club’s website.

“He’s just started his recovery, working with the medical staff and we’ll get him back as soon and as safely as we can.

“Of course, Paul has been very important for us and we’re not going to take any risks. [So it is] A few weeks definitely.

“You never want to be injured and, especially, now Paul was really finding his form and enjoying his football. For us, we just have to take as many points and wins as possible, when you lose players.

“We’ve been very healthy and strong for a long period so we can’t moan too much.”

This is a major setback for the Man United manager as Pogba was turning out to be a key player for his side and him along with Bruno Fernandes could have helped United make that final push for the Premier League title.

But now this abrupt injury will force Ole to use lay faith on players like Nemanja Matic or Donny van de Beek in central midfield for their next couple of games.

As for their FA Cup clash vs Moyes’ side, Solskjaer should be naming the duo of McTominay and Fred in midfield – the exact same pair which played on the pitch against Everton after Paul Pogba had to be taken off.
