Liverpool welcome Chelsea in the League Cup on Wednesday and this is the first time that both these teams will meet against each other in a span of just four days.

After the League Cup game is wrapped up, Liverpool will head down to Stamford Bridge in order to take on Chelsea in Premier League on Saturday.

Both managers are expected to make a number of changes to their first XI in midweek as they will try to keep their players well rested for the crucial league encounter.

The likes of Eden Hazard and Jorginho should drop to the bench at Anfield while Ross Barkley is expected to return back to the starting line up.

But Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has made it clear which player he wants to see in the starting line-up as soon as possible.

Sarri has laid down the importance of Pedro in the team and wants the Spaniard to return back to full fitness as soon as possible.

The Chelsea manager said(via Football London): “Pedro, for us, is very important because he is the best player we have with movement without the ball,

“So, in this moment of the season, Pedro is a very important player. We are trying to have him at the end of the week, but I don’t know at the moment.”

Pedro suffered a shoulder injury during Chelsea’s Europa League clash vs PAOK last week and the Blues immediately dropped their first points against West Ham last weekend with Pedro out of the team.

Pedro is expected to return back to training on Tuesday meaning he remains a doubt for the League club clash on Wednesday but should be fit for Saturday’s game against Liverpool.
