Arsenal keeper Petr Cech will bid goodbye to professional football at the end of this week and the Europa League final could be his final game for the Gunners.

Petr Cech will be up against his former club Chelsea but there are some serious doubts whether the shot-stopper will play the final or not.

The senior pro has fallen down the pecking order ever since Arsenal signed Bernd Leno last summer and he has mostly been warming the benches during the Premier League games.

But in Europe, Petr Cech has been the No 1 choice for Unai Emery and many pundits have suggested that the Arsenal boss should keep it that way in the final too.

While the Arsenal would love to see Petr Cech in goal vs Chelsea but his recent comments comparing his current and former side will surely not go down too well with the Gunners fans.

“It will sound strange but I think generally at Arsenal there is not enough pressure,” the 36-year-old told Standard Sport.

“Arsene is a real gentleman. As much as he hates losing, he stays a gentleman. If you lose, you win, you lose, you win, he kind of carries on. That’s something I’ve never experienced before.

“At Chelsea, at the times when we drew, it felt like a funeral in the dressing room. It was so bad. If we drew against a big team at home, it was like, ‘Oh no, it is impossible we didn’t win at home’. It came from everywhere: the players, the coach.

“Since the start when I was there, the pressure was there every game.”

Some pundits also feel that Emery should not be swayed in emotion and start Bernd Leno ahead of Petr Cech when the Gunners take on Chelsea.

It now remains to be seen whether the Arsenal boss will stick with Cech in front of goal for the Europa League final just like Mourinho did with Sergio Romero a couple of seasons ago at Man United or he will play save and name his first choice keeper.
