Yesterday reports had suggested that Rangers FC are planning to make a move for Manchester City youngster Phil Foden.

Foden is without a doubt one of the biggest talents to come out of the Man City academy and Steven Gerrard was hoping to bring him onboard on a season-long loan.

Now though it seems that the report was basically a flash in the pan more than anything else.

A Rangers supporter raised that question of Rangers’ interest in Phil Foden to Four Lads Had A Dream and their response to the rumour was outright negative.

While the squandering of the report does not come from a major tabloid in England or Scotland but Four Lads Had A Dream are without a doubt one of the more reliable sources when it comes to information about the Gers.

They made it pretty clear that they were hearing about the rumour for the first time and this clarification is sure to break a lot of fans’ hearts.

But it should not come as a surprise given the fact that Rangers have already made half dozen signings under new manager Steven Gerrard and the club have made it clear that they are in the process of bringing in more players during the coming few months.

And with so many players heading to Ibrox, there a bound to be a few absurd rumours.

Today’s reports suggest that Rangers are planning to make a move for Stoke City striker Saido Berahino and Gerrard wants him on a season-long loan.

Like Phil Foden’s rumour, we have to wait a few more days in order to find out if this report has any substance behind it.
